I'm running a converted 1x10 non boost set up on a boost frame and everything works well.  The problem I have is that the frame has a very low bottom bracket and even watching my technique I am getting pedal strikes.  Do non boost 165mm 3x cranksets exist?  Ideally hollowtech type?

I had an XT set which a foolishly let go and finding another one proved impossible. So they exist but they’re rare!

Do you want to run 1x or 3x, your post mentions both? 135 or 142 rear? M8100 (XT) will do 142 1x and come in 165. Raceface might do something, they use the chainrings to change offset..

Running 1x but using a converted 3x to get a decent chain line as I've bodged the 142 with 3mm spacers.

The XTs mentioned are 52mm chainline, can you measure and see what your working setup currently is?

I’ve run a raceface aeffect in direct mount on a non-boost cassette and had no great trouble. Available in 165. Glorious everlasting steel rings too.

You could also put both the spacers on the disc side to bring the chainline back over. Had a wheel built up this way for maybe a year and it all seems fine.

Raceface as above. If you go for a turbine you can play with chainline by using different axle lengths/ring offsets.

Shimano did an M970 XTR that's exactly what you describe, long discontinued though but superb cranks. I think you're probably going to have the best luck with used, for this job

Spa cycles do their TD-2 cranks down to 165mm. There are square taper. You can either buy them as cranks or they’ll supply with any rings they have in stock. Mine are made up as a sub compact double with a guard in the outrr position. They can build them triple as well. The lost lots of options on the website. But that’s just suggestions. When i phoned there guy agreed to put together something not listed. I phoned on a Wednesday they arrived on a Friday

Middleburn is the other option

What hub do you have? Another option sounds be to re-dish the rear wheel with 6mm spacers on the brake side. This would open you up to way more crank options as the chain line would be correct for the frame and could end up cheaper. It's also more future proof.

I think it'd be easier swapping to a boost hub or wheel.
