Can't find a definitive answer anywhere so will this [url= http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/nukeproof-conversion-kit-15mm-to-qr/rp-prod80192 ]Nukeproof 15mm to QR adapter[/url]work on any 15mm through axle hub? Can't see why not. Want to upgrade my wheels on my main bike and put the existing wheels onto another project with rigid old school QR forks...
It would make sense if a 15mm to qr adapter would work in any hub as the 15mm is a standard sized item, and the adapters just slot in. Got some mavic ones in my cross rides and there is nothing to remove just slot in the adapters add skewer and ride.
using one of those nukeproof 15mm to QR adaptors with an SLX wheelset, can't see any reason why they wouldn't work with any other 15mm through axle hub
There's plenty of people on mtbr.com talking about using these adapters from [url= http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mountain-Bike-15mm-Thru-Axle-Standard-5mm-Quick-Release-Wheel-Adapter-/251073161488?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a75206910#shId ]ebay[/url] which look pretty similar. I suppose I could use the Mavic ones, but would just feel more secure with the through axle variety
Cheers guys, I'll give them a go. Only downside is instead of buying a budget wheelset to put on the project, I've now found a way to use my existing wheelset on there meaning I'm [i]forced[/i] to buy new bling wheels for my main steed. Them's the breaks... 😉
