This may be a bit daft, but bear with me. Do 15mm through axle hubs have locating lugs like 142mm rears, or do you have to hold them in place while inserting the axle, like 135x12mm?

Usually it's the frame that has a recess in it at the dropout area.

Yes, you're right. To rephrase the question, do 15mm TA forks have locating lugs (I understand 20mm TA ones do) or not?
