Are there any adapters out there to convert a 130mm QR disc hub for use in a 135mm disc frame?
A made a a bit of a cock-up....
I know it's only 5mm and the frame can be crimped with the QR Skewer, but it means the disc mount/rotor interface is terrible.
Any solutions, or am I going to have to get something made?
Cheers,
D
Anyone?
Longer axle and some spacers?
How easy this is will depend on the hub.
Just out of interest, I'm after a 130mm disc hub (32/36 spokes & not built into a wheel) but there don't seem to be many around. What make is it?
Cheers.
Wow, I didn't even know you could get 130 disc hubs. Every day's a school day.
If it's by someone who also make 135 it might be a common shell so an axle spacer upgrade might do it.
Think novatec are one of the few who make 130 mm road disc hubs.
The Novatech ones are nice but I haven't found a UK distributor. Might have to get some from HK on ebay & chance the import duty.
White Industries make the Hub. It's an M16.
And the White Industries CX 11 is a 130mm disc hub too. You can run that with a Campagnolo 11speed cassette.
For anyone interested in a 130mm hub but worried about upgrading to 135 later. I managed to design and 3D print a suitable replacement end cap for the WI M16.
If you'd like the CAD for the spacers, please e-mail me and I'll provide it FOC.
All the best,
Martin
