Seem to be plenty of 100mm and 140mm but a shortage of 120mm. Or am I imagining it?

Thanks. 🙂

Turner Flux are going cheap on CRC at the mo. 120mm up front make them an awesome singletrack machine.

Check March edition of MBR. £2000 test on Trek Fuel, Specialized Camber, Giant Trance and Ghost something-or-other.

Buy the Specialized.

I went up 10mm and got the Transition Bandit.

Big fan of the Yeti (had a 100mm ASR-SL) and nearly bought that, but went with the Bandit as a better all-rounder (downhill particularly).

I didn't like the Camber. enjoyed riding the fuel-ex though. Good bike.
The yeti for the bling factor, the flux for the best ride.

Missus has a Camber and loves it - as do I. So much so that I sold my Trance.

+1 for the Ghost AMR.

I've got a 2012 5900. Not quite as good spec as last year's model, but a helluva lot of fun descending.

No just insinuating you like [s]bling[/s] light and efficient stuff 😉
As good as someone who lost his job 🙁

Lol @ Mr Poddy and who said I was buying? Just like to know what's around, should the need arise. 😆

Superlight had a short top tube but it was the right colour. 😉

The meta SL is a light 120 mm trail bike going down like a FR bike due to it's system and it's geometry. It will need some adjustment though, specially to get use to ride on the front of the bike. But once you get use to it, IT'S AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been looking into this though I agree with CG. There seem to be very few 120mm front & back FS frames out there. So I'd be interested to hear peoples ideas...

Don't bother with new. Get yourself a lovely Nicolai Helius CC. Can be run anywhere between 100-140mm ish front and rear. There's been a few on the classifieds recently and, with a 5 year transferrable warranty 2nd hand is a viable option. I love mine.

Yeti is 130mm travel but love the paintwork of that Nicholai. 8)

29er is no good for me, just want to know what XC options there are and it would need to be frame only.

juan - yes, light and efficient sounds much kinder. 🙂 Still no luck on the job front then, you might just have to come back to the UK cos we know you miss us. 😀

Thanks for suggestions so far.

If you want light and efficient 120mm, Its the ASR-5, Dale RZ120, or Trek ex IMO. I tested them all 6 months ago.

Again IMO, the Yeti blew the others of the water for balance and ride. I would have the Trek otherwise, although this years fork (with DRCV) is a bit marmite so I've heard.
