I’ve wanted to do a team 24 hr mtb race for years, but never got round to it. I’m going to make another attempt to rustle up a few mates to do MM or something next year. But I’d really like to try one out some time this year to see what it’s like and take advantage of reasonable fitness levels built up so far.
I had a look on British Cycling page but couldn’t see a way to search for team events. Indeed I don’t even know the correct name for these 12/24 hour team events.
So can anyone point me in the direction of any races happening vaguely near (<100 miles) Manchester in 2014?

Not within your distance I'm afraid, but Dusk til Dawn (Thetford) is a great event, this coming weekend though!

May be worth a try, a dry D2D is great fun, and it's looking like that'll be the case! Very fast, flowing trails.
aha, that would have been good, but seriously miles from Manchester, and entries closed.
