the sram is £10 more - any reason to spend the extra?

the rest of my drivetrain is sram

Absolutely not. I find SRAM 1050s have an almost agricultural feel when compared with Shimano (on a Shimano groupset at least).

cant find the weight of the 105 but I doubt it will be anything to worry about?

IMO go with the 105 - smoother shifting, quieter and £10 less.
Am currently using a Shimano cassette and chain with the rest of the groupo Sram Force - IMO you can tell the difference.
