Birthday = I will buy a reverb. (win)
Should I get 100mm drop or 125mm drop??
I have an xl remedy
Let the arguments commence..........
No arguments unless your really trying. Also we can't answer the question unless you want someone to come round with a tape measure.
Go outside and measure how much exposed seat post you have. Then add about 25mm for the top of the post. Now what is the number??
You need 195mm from seat tube clamp to centre of the rails for a 125 post. 165 for 100 post, from my research
What's the lowest you would ever run the seat, what's the highest?
From that you can work out the drop you'd need.
You'll have to consider which length also, 355, 380 or 420. This comes down to how much of the lower section you're going to run inside the frame and where you want the lowest point to stop at. 80mm in the frame is the minimum anyway and you need to check if the frame can take a long post if you're going to run it fully inserted as some may have obstructions.
Also to consider - right or left handed lever, and do you want the lever to be above the bars or below. They're designed for above but as many have found, flip the bike over for some maintenance... crack, lever bust. So some run them under the bars, in which case you should get the opposite 'handed' to where it will be.
Longest seatpost your frame can take ,125MM drop ,RH lever to fit underneath your bars on the left.www.bike-discount.de/ was cheapest last I looked.I only ordered and paid for a post but got a bleed kit included.Shortening the cable/hose was the easiest bike job I've done just follow the short vid on youtube
More is more.
Only issue is seattube length and min insertion, other than that have as much as you can i say
