[Closed] 100% Hydromatic gloves - do they loosen off??

Bought some XXL Hydromatic gloves with a view to being able to fit a merino liner in underneath them, but they're pretty damn snug even without the liner!

Are they known to run small? Do they 'give' at all?

Ta

If they're constructed anything like the 100% Brisker gloves then I would say no, mine are still as snug as the day they were bought after quite a lot of use.

I don't think my Hydromatics run small, if anything I'd say mine (large) were a little larger than some other L gloves. I just bought the normal size for my hands - I have the normal 100% Briskers (best gloves ever) in the same size which I think are a bit more snug.

Haven't noticed them give. But also I've never felt the need for a liner - they're great especially when it's cold and wet. Haven't needed to resort to my proper insulated winter gloves this winter despite plenty of bad weather.

Had mine since November and no sign of them stretching.

Mine aren't loosening off so far, but I haven't used them much because for me it needs to be really quite cold to use them, so I'd suggest you'd only want liners in proper cold or if you're quite sensitive to cold hands.

Dunno if it's any use, and I don't have those gloves, but I have some silk liner gloves that I got from eBay, they're really thin (and warm)

This kinda thing:

Have you tried them to see if you need the liner? They are quite warm. I get a bit of reynauds in a couple of finger ends and when I first got mine I wore them for a walk and wasn't impressed at all. Thought they felt a bit cold. When I went for my first proper ride in them with temps around 0 and quite a bit of wind chill my hands got quite hot and sweaty once the blood started flowing. Still got numb finger tips but can't blame the gloves as the rest of my fingers were quite warm.

OK thanks folks, will try them with a thinner liner first.

Am assuming I'd need a liner as the insulation doesn't seem any thicker than my old gloves, and I needed a liner with them or I'd get numb fingers.

Have never needed an XXL before except in Italian bib shorts!

I just got a pair last week, they are very very warm but alos quit tight. Seem to stretch a bit during a ride so more comfortable to slip on and off to check phone/map. Once ive squeezed them on they are pretty comfortable and dont feel overly tight.

They don't in my experience.

They have started shedding their layers on the outside though.

I have now got some Galiber insulated gloves

Couldn’t get my hand through the xxl wrist to try them on!

The briskers I’ve got are snug but haven’t loosened at all, better cuff design on those.

Yeah in my experience they run small.
I'm normally a large Troy Lee, but had to go xl with these and they're still a bit tighter than I'd like.

I think they do loosen off a little, but not hugely.
It helps to cut all the wodge of labels and pop stud straps out of them too.

Pretty warm though, but if it's not cold enough they can be sweaty.

I found they didn't really loosen. There's not much give in the material. Also found they came up small. My Briskets are a M, but I had to go to an L for my Hydromatics though.
Great gloves, warmest ones with feel that I've found, and pretty good at keeping the wet out. Mine have worn really well as well.

Had mine over a year, once you dislocate your fingers to get them through the cuff, they are very comfy and quite waterproof/warm, as said above its the soddin cuffs.
