edit: baby seat comments to be reserved for t'other thread - cheers
Cunningly placed to draw southerners away from the good riding.
Great variety, fun riding, great trails. No Trail Centre Snobs
Glentrool Purple is a nice way to see the countryside.
Ok, more specifically
Kirroughtree -
Mabie -
Ae -
Glentrool -
Dalbeattie -
Mabie cafe had nice bacon butties but now it's shut.
Ae has a chemical toilet and the omega man's cool.
Dalbeattie is more of a challenge than the above trails.
Kirroughtree - Swoopy, big day out, with mcMoab. Must do.
Mabie - short, fun, berms, little rooty at the end, easiest of these trails
Ae - I hate it. Big time.
Glentrool - never been. Thought it was family oriented trails though.
Dalbeattie - awesome, rocky, proper rocky, qualifier, slab, twins all good fun. Tough for a red. Lots of fire road, but lots of singletrack. 2nd best Stane.
You missed Drumlanring, the secret stane. Rooty, natural, and a castle. Tiptop.
sleekit cowrin' tim'rous stanie - what a panic's in pook's brainie
Kirroughtree, best of the lot do it all but pack some food
Mabie/Dalbettie Good Fun & different
Ae -- not everyone's bag,
Inners Awesome fun
Glentress - Avoid on a weekend
Glentrool never been to
Newcastleton OK on the way/way home
Newcastleton, is also in Dumfries and Galloway - you know that?
Kirroughtree,Dalbeattie Mabie the best. The rest aren't the best.
How's that? ten words, and in the right order
[quote=glupton1976 ]Newcastleton, is also in Dumfries and Galloway - you know that?
Yep, but wouldn't go there specially and it always felt like it was a bit small/short
Mabie a let-down. First half fun. Second felt like Hampshire.
Newcastleton's highlight is a 24/7 changing room. Not challenging by any means and more of a quick blast but it has its place. I like the loneliness of the place if you know what I mean. There's never anyone there !!!
Rusty, does that say "to horny david" ? ๐
10 words?
I have never been. Would very much like to though.
(sorry not much help OP ๐ )
She NEVER gets my name right!
It's Horny Pete on my birth certificate.

No it isn't, it's in the Borders Region.

I was only a couple of Km out. Oh well.
perfectly safe for a seven month old child to ride ๐
Biased opinion from me;
They are all better than GT/Inners

Mabie cafe re-opened
Ae cafe under new management, has cafe, bike shop with limited spares, showers and the 30 or so riders out last night all seemed to enjoy it ๐
