10 speed cassette on XD driver

In a bizarre hope for some degree of wheel and drivetrain compatibility between bikes (of various ages and standards) I’ve come to the realisation that a 10 speed cassette (10 or 11 to 36ish) that fits on an XD driver would be the simplest and cheapest solution…

does such a product exist or was 10 speed obsolete before XD came along?

I struggled to find 11speed XD driver cassettes that were a) in stock and b) didn't cost the earth. Ended up moving to 12 speed because it was cheaper and easier.

I don't think you stand much chance with a 10speed XD sorry!

Surely the freehub replacement would be cheaper?

Pretty much yeah.

Those 11sp Sram 10-42t cassettes were the first generation IIRC.

I still run 11speed & was running the SRAM 11speed XD cassettes on two bikes. I have now gone back to using the HG freehub and use the Sunrace (11-46) cassettes as the range works better for me. Otherwise I'd have needed to go down to a 28t chainring which on the full sus was causing excessive chain slap under full compression.
