[Closed] 1 x 10 Cassette Size Advice - 11-32/34/36?

I have a Charge Blender 120mm travel forks and used it for all duties (4X, Mini DH, Trail, XC, pumptracks).

Currently run 1 x 9 setup 34t front 11-34 cassette, find it ok, spend most of my time in the higher gears having the 34T upfront but like the 1:1 ration for longer/steeper climbs, however would like a closer ratio on the cassette.

Cassette is now slipping so upgrading to 10 speed, have a Zee clutch mech, SLX shifter, KMC chain & looking to get an XT cassette.

Question is do I just get an 11-32 to getter a closer ratio, 11-34 slightly improved ratio with no real change, 11-36 to get an additional lower gear (& benefit of 10 speed), or an 11-36 with a new 36t upfront meaning I still get a ratio of 1:1 but benefit for an additional higher gear?

Thoughts & opinions on the subject welcome.

N.

Only you can answer that Shirley? What would you benefit from the most, an extra lower gear or an extra higher gear?

An 11-36 will still be a closer ratio than your nine speed 11-34. They are basically a nine speed 11-32 with a 36 bolted on.

I'd go 11-36, but if you feel fine on a 11-34 got for it.
