We have a slightly different version of Cheaper Things Tuesday for you this week. Everyone can read what you’re reading now, but only Singletrack Members will see all the great deals we’ve found.
Before we head through the keyhole, here’s a couple of great deals for everyone.
โSee Dealโ links
There are button links below each item summary with โSee Deal atโฆโ written on them. These buttons โ and the header links and linked pics โ click-through to retailers. Should you end up buying from these retailers then Singletrack may earn a small bit of commission. This does not alter the amount you pay by the way.

Nukeproof Mega 290 Comp Alloy Bike (Deore) was ยฃ2,999.999, now ยฃ1,999.99
The next issue of the magazine has a test of bikes around the ยฃ2k mark – here’s a ยฃ3k bike reduced down to ยฃ2k! Alloy frame, 170mm RockShox Domain suspension forks and a Super Deluxe rear shock, Shimano Deore drivetrain, available in size Medium upwards.

Shimano MT800 HTII BB was ยฃ27.99, now ยฃ15,99
At some point in your life, your bottom bracket is going to need replacing. It makes a lot of sense to stock up as and when you come across a decent deal on BBs that are in the correct flavour. Got a Shimano flavoured bottom? Rejoice at this deal!
Aww…sadface. If you’re not a Singletrack Member then that’s all you get! Everyone else, read on…

And now, for members only, here are some other great deals we’ve spotted:
Fizik Antares R5 Kium Rail saddle was ยฃ114.99, now ยฃ39.99
One thing our recent Buyers Guide to the Best Mountain Bike saddles told us was that a fair number of folk get along well with Fizik’s MTB offerings. Here’s a whacking great deal of money off one of Fizik’s fanciest perches.
Rockrider 31.6mm 120/150/170mm Dropper Seat Post was ยฃ179.99, now ยฃ129.99
Now then. This ‘Rockrider’ dropper looks an awful lot like a Brand X Ascend dropper. The collar is possibly a tad different but the remote lever and the actuator on the bottom of the post look identical to the Ascend. Ascends are great droppers. So…
Moon Aiolos HP Pump was ยฃ29.99, now ยฃ14.99
We’re big fans of mini pumps with hoses. They’re just load easier to, you know, actually use. Especially if you’re in a rush/mood/storm* (*delete as applicable although all three are often combined!) We just seem to bend and break valves with non-hose designs. Viva la hose!
Troy Lee Designs Stage Knee Guard was ยฃ90.00, now ยฃ59.99
Heads up – or should that be ‘knees up’? – there are only limited sizes of these excellent knee pads in this sale. XS/S and XL/XXL to be precise. Sorry to all you bare-kneed medium to large peeps.
Five Ten Freerider Pro Canvas was ยฃ130.00, now ยฃ79.99
The best flat pedal shoe out there. As with the bottom bracket above, it makes total fiscal sense to stock up on items that you know will wear out and you know are great. Worth reading our Buyers Guide to Flat Pedal Shoes.
Giro Latch was ยฃ130.00, now ยฃ77.99
Hang on. Didn’t we just say that Five Ten Freerider Pro shoes are the best? Yes, yes we did. Bit sometimes you just fancy a change don’t you? These Giro Latch flat shoes are an excellent alternative in that they are virtually the same grippiness but dry out slightly faster.
Fox 36 Float Performance Elite GRIP 2 160mm 27.5in was ยฃ1,139.00, now ยฃ742.00
Contrary to what you may believe, not everyone in the world is riding around on 140mm travel 29ers. Perhaps they should be ,but they’re not. These are top forks for those happy souls ragging around on 150-160mm 27.5in bikes. Gawd bless ’em.
Silva Flow 6X Hip Pack was ยฃ44.99, now ยฃ26.99
We didn’t feature compass-mesiters Silva in our Buyers Guide to Mountain Bike Hip Packs, but suffice to say that we’ve used their wares before and the only complaint we could level at Silvawares was that it was expensive. Look! These bumbags are cheap(er)!
Fox Clothing Flexair Pants was ยฃ115.00, now ยฃ59.99
Another bit of high-end clothing that is subject to not having very many sizes in the sale. If you like Black kecks and can deal with a size 36in waist garment, you’re very much in luck.
Shimano SLX M7100 Cassette 12 Speed was ยฃ114.95, now ยฃ60.00
Are we really going to say something about ‘making sense’ and ‘stocking up’ AGAIN? Yes we are. Sorry, cassettes last longer than they used to – or, more accurately, don’t mind being totally rinsed into the ground compared to ye olde cassettes – but it still makes sense to stock up on them.
The North Face Aconcagua 2 Vest was ยฃ140.00, now ยฃ97.99
Very much not-riding apparel. Well, unless it is really flipping freezing. Down gillets like this are ideal pre- or post-ride wear. They also have a modern world extra function as excellent WFH wear (Working From Home).
Troy Lee Designs A1 Classic MIPS was ยฃ120.00, now ยฃ59.99
A typically stylish hat from Troy Lee that has that funky yellow slip mat liner MIPS thang going for it too. The A1 makes for a good helmet for cooler temperatures. Wear this for three-quarters of the UK year then.
