All you have to do is sign up to our weekly newsletter and answer one simple question (that will be in the newsletter!). Which is something you should sign up to anyway because it’s feature-filled, funny and free!

Each newsletter is headed up by an exclusive editorial from our team and includes stories, news, pics, vids and other content that you’ll be pleased you didn’t miss out on. It’s not just the usual marketing material and hard-sell fest you get with some newsletters.

To win a Lazer Jackal KinetiCore helmet worth £179.99, courtesy of the good folks over at Freewheel.co.uk, just make sure you’re signed up to our editorial newsletter and watch out for it landing in your inbox on Friday

This week’s prize

Lazer Jackal KinetiCore helmet worth £179.99

“The Jackal KinetiCore gives you the confidence to tackle technical MTB trails without fear, so you can push yourself harder and test your riding limits. Supreme ventilation, improved protection and advanced comfort, plus MTB-friendly features such as brow vents and an accessory mount, make this a trail rider’s dream lid.”

Available in sizes ranging from S to L, and four different colour options, the Jackal KinetiCore uses Lazers new proprietary safety technology – KinetiCore. Lazer KinetiCore doesn’t use a slip liner or stuck-on elastomers. It uses an internal crumple zone array that’s part of the helmet body construction itself.

The Jackal KinetiCore fetuares an easy to operate magnetic buckle that can be quickly undone with one hand, even with gloves on. The visor is easy to move up and down while riding for improved visibility (and to make space for goggles), and fetaures three pre-set positions.

Included with the helmet is an integrated GoPro mount to capture content while out riding. You can also further increase your safety visibility by attaching the Universal Lazer LED at the rear of the helmet via the Direct Mount. Getting the Jackal KinetiCore dialled is nice and easy thanks to the Lazer Turnsys system which provides a tailored fit that’s easy to adjust on the move with a simple turn of the dial

Ventilation is taken care of by a series of big vents that not only keep you cool by channelling air into the helmet above your eyebrows, keeping your head cool, but also lowering the chance of your goggles steaming up while stowed on your helmet. The rear of the helmet also features a ‘Goggle Grip’ area to keep things nice and secure.

We’ve got a size medium Jackal KinetiCore here at Singletrack Towers – which weighs in at 360g on our trusty workshop scales – but if you win you can pick your preferred size colour, so get signed up to the newsletter and get ready to enter on Friday

Cripes. It seems that Benji has just promised the world my newsletter editorials will be funny. I do put plenty of effort into making them interesting, or relevant, or thought provoking, but I’m not sure how often I achieve ‘funny’. The pressure is on…
