Best Bike Under £2000 – Singletrack Reader Awards 2019 Finalists

by 0

This was a big year for bikes at this price point, with hardtails as well as some quality full suspension options becoming available, prompting a different sort of ‘How Much?!’ squawk from many. Here are the bikes that lightened your hearts but not your wallets:

The Finalists – Best Bike Under £2000

Sonder Cortex

Not only does this bike push the value buttons, it also delivers on that ‘less travel that feels like more’ quality. As you fly down the hillside, you can be forgiven for forgetting you’ve got 120mm of travel, and this is a lively little trail whippet rather than an enduro buffalo.

Radon Cragger 8.0

With a spec list that might lead you to believe the price was a mis-print, this hardtail impressed us on the trail as well as on paper. 130mm of fork was more than capable enough for anything our tester could throw at it.
