Singletrack Owner/Publisher

Mark has been riding mountain bikes for over 30 years and co-owns Singletrack, where he's been publisher for 25 years. While his official title might be Managing Director, his actual job description is "whatever needs doing" – from wrangling finances and keeping the lights on to occasionally remembering to ride bikes for fun rather than just work. He's seen the sport evolve from rigid forks to whatever madness the industry dreams up next, and he's still not entirely sure what "gravel" is. When he's not buried in spreadsheets or chasing late invoices, he's probably thinking about his next ride.

  1. that was just awesome, great to hear and see so many names from the past, I’m full of nostalgia today! Incredible that Steve Behr has such an archive! I missed Hans ‘no way’ Ray in the movie (such an influence). Made me wistful for those ‘MTB Pro’ tales of MTB every month (can’t remember the title of that section). Ace to see Steve Worland pushing pedals on a bike, so sorely missed, “Be fast, be funny, be an inspiration’ still lives with me everyday. UK MTB scene is unique and dedicated for sure from since I first put a leg over a Trek 820 rigid back then.

  2. Loved it! Two issues tho no mention of dirt magazine or the Sprung series both where a masssive part of the 2000’s should, street, jump scene
