Frontier Science (Scotland) Ltd (FSS) is a not-for-profit organisation recognised as a Scottish Charity. Founded in 2001, FSS has close links with a US non-profit organisation, Frontier Science Foundation Inc. with offices in Boston MA, Amherst, NY and Madison WI, and with two other European offices in Athens and Oslo. A vacancy for a Senior Biostatistician is available within the Biostatistics team. The work will comprise all statistical aspects of the design, delivery and reporting of international clinical trials, and also the opportunity to collaborate on trial-related research projects and publications. Responsibilities include the development of statistical analysis plans, analysis of data, preparation of reports, membership of trial governance committees and, assistance in the preparation of trial-related publications. The senior statistician will also work closely with statistical colleagues and with the programmers who design, develop and test statistical programs.
This position also presents the opportunity to work with our colleagues and collaborators across the world. We have strong links with our parent organisation, Frontier Science Foundation, Inc (FSF) in the US. There are three offices in the USA in Boston, MA, Buffalo, NY and Madison, WI, and office in Athens, Greece, and a new one in Oslo, Norway. We have a long and continuing association with the Breast International Group in Brussels, Belgium.
Requirements
- PhD/ MSc in Statistics or related subject
- Significant experience in statistical analysis of clinical trials, preferably at a senior level
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of a statistical software package, preferably SAS
- CDISC expertise would be beneficial
- International travel will be required
