Claudio Caluori and Steve Peat take on the Lenzerheide track in Switzerland. Someone crashes…
And it’s not Peaty!
“It’s home turf for Claudio Caluori this UCI MTB World Cup round with a second-ever visit to Lenzerheide in Switzerland. Claudio was involved closely in getting the Lenzerheide downhill track prepped for its World Cup debut in 2015, alongside regular design input from Steve Peat.
There’s probably no one else who knows this course as well as Peaty, though a knee injury robbed him of the chance of riding it during the World Cup last year. The Brit is therefore the perfect choice to accompany Claudio down the track this time.” Redbull.com.
“The 2.5km downhill track is short, steep and fast. Featuring a mix of natural elements and bike park obstacles, there’s several rock gardens, root sections, jumps and flowing berms to navigate through on the way down to the finish line.

“Last year’s racing saw the course get dusty and very loose as a heatwave hit the Swiss Alps. Much of the same is expected this year with warm weather predicted over the weekend.”

I love the stopping for the beer. Extra points should be given in the race for doing that!
This is gonna be one to watch, so many line choices, and even the chance for a bevy before the finish.
