Fox have released a new MX inspired trail helmet, the Metah (which you may have spotted in this video here).

To infinity and the tea shop beyond!

In 2006, Fox introduced the Flux helmet – which was one of the original trail specific helmets in mtb at the time. Ten years later they’re looking to build on that with the all new Metah.

Here is the tech vid from Fox:

This helmet has adopted a new EPS liner with “Varizorb” technology, which is basically various small spongy things (to put it technically) that are implemented into the lining to increase absorption on impact.

And interestingly, a non-adjustable peak

David Ahumada, Global product manager for Fox MTB said: “The landscape of the trail riding market has changed and today’s all-mountain and Enduro focused riders expect a higher level of performance from their helmets.

“With the new technologies built into the Metah, we have taken a huge step in performance to suit these needs while also incorporating the iconic Fox MX influenced aesthetic.”

The Metah will set you back £110 and is available to purchase from Fox dealers and online. We’ll have a full review as soon as our testers are back from schralping the gnarr.
