As we reported last month, Anne Caroline Chausson – winner of just about everything, ever… – had to take time away from the race scene last year after a cancer diagnosis. In this video, in her own words, she explains what it’s been like to be away and how it feels to be back – and back on a bike. She also thanks the many fans, sponsors, friends and well-wishers for their support.
It’s great to see her back on a bike. That is all.
With 23 years as Editor of Singletrack World Magazine, Chipps is the longest-running mountain bike magazine editor in the world. He started in the bike trade in 1990 and became a full time mountain bike journalist at the start of 1994. Over the last 30 years as a bike writer and photographer, he has seen mountain bike culture flourish, strengthen and diversify and bike technology go from rigid steel frames to fully suspended carbon fibre (and sometimes back to rigid steel as well.)
Friend of a friend, good to see she’s back on a bike again. (Also she’s riding trials right near my house! although there’s a couple I don’t recognise so I’ll have to hunt them out…)
Positive role model anyone?
Great news to know Anne Caro is back on a bike! Having cancer myself I know that keeping positive and riding all helps!
