Video: Bike Transalp 2016 – Anticipation

by 3

The venerable Transalp is a multi-day stage race across – er – the Alps. and it features 17,751 metres of climbing. Mention of climbing rather than descents tells you that, yup, this is an XC race, and pretty much as gnarly as they come. That’s not to say that there’s not loads of singletrack on offer, but you’ll be working hard to get there…

The good people at the Transalp have released a video, which is hilarious – although we’re not quite sure if the hilarity is intentional or not… but if you can stand it, watch the video, and wait for the BASS TO DROP…

The TransAlp 2016 runs between July the 17th and the 23rd, 2016. More details can be found here

Barney Marsh takes the word ‘career’ literally, veering wildly across the road of his life, as thoroughly in control as a goldfish on the dashboard of a motorhome. He’s been, with varying degrees of success, a scientist, teacher, shop assistant, binman and, for one memorable day, a hospital laundry worker. These days, he’s a dad, husband, guitarist, and writer, also with varying degrees of success. He sometimes takes photographs. Some of them are acceptable. Occasionally he rides bikes to cast the rest of his life into sharp relief. Or just to ride through puddles. Sometimes he writes about them. Bikes, not puddles. He is a writer of rongs, a stealer of souls and a polisher of turds. He isn’t nearly as clever or as funny as he thinks he is.
