Camping, cake, and bikes.
While it sounds like a low-budget horror film about a former lover, DMR Bikes’ THE EX (their capitalisation) is actually a short film about a planned three-day enduro in Exmoor. Radiating out from a central campground, each day begins with an uplift and features four to six timed gravity segments, on-course medics, and water- there’s even a vintage tea stop.
Our Barney (pictured) was kind enough to do some recon for us last September (if you look closely you can even see him in the video) and came away impressed. In addition to the highlights above, riders can expect:
- An entry fee in the neighborhood of £250 with all food and camping facilities included.
- course length 35-45km each day
- evening entertainment
- video diary of every day
By limiting the field to 80 riders, organisers are able to gain access to trails that wouldn’t be open to a larger event. The 2016 running will take place one weekend next September- visit the-ex.co.uk to register your interest.
