Video: Trans Provence 2015 Highlights And 2016 Entries!

by 0

Here it is – a 5 minute encapsuation of everything the Trans Provence has to offer, in video form: “racing excitement, adventurous trepidation, insane amounts of singletrack, huge terrain variety, mind-bending elevation changes and benevolent camaraderie.” Which pretty much sums it up!

Here’s a gallery of images from the 2015 race, too – so you can revel in the sunshine instead of looking out of the window at the rain:

For 2016, there will be 60 public spots for the 18th June start up for grabs, which will be available from the 1 November. It’s likely they won’t be about for long, though… Click on the  Trans Provence website for details.

Barney Marsh takes the word ‘career’ literally, veering wildly across the road of his life, as thoroughly in control as a goldfish on the dashboard of a motorhome. He’s been, with varying degrees of success, a scientist, teacher, shop assistant, binman and, for one memorable day, a hospital laundry worker. These days, he’s a dad, husband, guitarist, and writer, also with varying degrees of success. He sometimes takes photographs. Some of them are acceptable. Occasionally he rides bikes to cast the rest of his life into sharp relief. Or just to ride through puddles. Sometimes he writes about them. Bikes, not puddles. He is a writer of rongs, a stealer of souls and a polisher of turds. He isn’t nearly as clever or as funny as he thinks he is.
