Eurobike 2015: Lauf Forks

by 0

Lauf weren’t really showing anything new except for a few OEM deals. We’ve watched them go from bonkers looking welded prototypes to graceful if odd looking production forks though, and it’s nice to see something so bizarre yet functional carving out a niche for itself. We also liked that the bikes on their stand were mostly still caked in mud. Here’s what they had.

I don’t think this colour is generally available.
P1030638
Carbonara fat forks
P1030639
Bright orange for Borealis
P1030640
Afraid I cropped just enough of the top tube out on this that I’m now not sure if it’s an Echo or Yampa. Sorry.
P1030647-bulls-blackadder-SL
Apparently the production version of this Bulls Black Adder SL is even lighter than this, which I could pick up with a single finger.
P1030650
Flat black for Fatback
P1030642
Boost, of course.
P1030646
These are the colours you can buy separately.

David started mountain biking in the 90’s, by which he means “Ineptly jumping a Saracen Kili Racer off anything available in a nearby industrial estate”. After growing up and living in some extremely flat places, David moved to Yorkshire specifically for the mountain biking. This felt like a horrible mistake at first, because the hills are so steep, but you get used to them pretty quickly. Previously, David trifled with road and BMX, but mountain bikes always won. He’s most at peace battering down a rough trail, quietly fixing everything that does to a bike, or trying to figure out if that one click of compression damping has made things marginally better or worse. The inept jumping continues to this day.
