It’s Wednesday (urgh…), so we’re going to assume that you are already awake and don’t need to be broken in gently. We present: MTB Mom v. BMX Mom.
Santa Cruz-supported rider Juuso Pihlaja shows us his Helsinki home trails. Dubbed entirely in Finnish – at least that’s what we assume it is – but the language of singletrack in the woods is universal. (Juuso, if you’re reading this: please get in touch and tell us how to pronounce your name.)
Closer to home, here’s an edit from round one of the Midlands XC series. Lots of lycra, plenty of singletrack, not enough crashes (in our humble opinion).
Gstaad-Scott riders Neko Mulally and Brendan Fairclough take a refreshingly lighthearted look at round one of the downhill World Cup (there’s a long wait til June’s round two at Fort William, so we’re rationing the stoke). We’re starting to wonder if Lourdes’ tourist board paid those nuns to wander around in a photogenic fashion all weekend…
We don’t need video sunshine now we’ve got our own (hurrah!), so here’s top-class XC racer Nino Schurter working hard and playing hard in the winter ‘off season’. So much for resting up, eh Nino?
And lastly, as an antidote to all that, here’s a view of the Lake District with a difference. Not a bike to be seen, but sheep, mountains, rain and sweat all feature. Stunning.
Aaaaaand… back to work.
