Another week, yet another celebration. Singletrack Premier Dealer, BikeSeven Cycle Service are celebrating their fifth birthday. Grahame Jackson at BikeSeven provides the update…

What’s changed since we last checked in?

We’re very much looking forward, as ever, but we’re also making sure we give ourselves a well earned pat on the back with our fifth birthday celebrations scheduled this Thursday.

Is there one unique selling point you guys want to shout about?

One of the benefits of us being located in the lovely border town of Longtown, Cumbria, is our location. It means we can point people off to the 7Stanes Trails with Newcastleton, Ae Forest and Mabie Forest on our doorstep. With Kielder and the Lakes (Whinlatter) within easy reach we never get tired of exploring our surrounding geography.

What products have been popular this summer?

It’s all about the bikes really isn’t it? Our tried and tested MTB brands: Bionicon, Kona, Orbea, Saracen and Felt provide everything the passionate mountain biker could possibly need.

We are also enthusiastic, prominent resellers for Weehoo biketrailers, the only singletrack specific hitch and ride out there, so if you’re in the market you should definitely check them out.

What’s hot in store now?

We’ve been really impressed with Bionicon’s C Guide (chain retention device) which has also been ideal for those riders who have been looking to try the conversion to 1×10 or 2×10 etc. With its pivot tube, it certainly adds stability to whatever your gearing flavour.

It’s that time of the year when the new season’s stock is landing which also means an opportunity to have a good clear out to make space for the new kit. There are some lovely bits of kit ready to ship out now, so check out our ebay store here.

What about this new wheel size?

We’re not really fussed what wheel-size floats your boat. 27.5in seems like it may well end up being the industry standard but there are plenty of 26 and 29ers already out there that we’ll happy look after with our Cytech trained, experienced staff on hand, to help riders make genuinely informed decisions.

Which product/brand does every staff member have on their bike?

You can’t go wrong with Conti and Schwalbe tyres. We’re also big fans of Relic’s rock solid pedals, stems and chainrings.
