Ready for winter? Robert Axle Project for Trainers

Riding nowhere is better than no riding at all

Metal, metal, and more metal.
Metal, metal, and more metal.

With autumn firmly asserting itself, it’s time to admit that winter is on its way.  Though it’s not ideal, with the increasing cold, wet, and dark it becomes increasingly easy to justify a session or three on the stationary trainer.  Of course, most trainers aren’t built for modern thru-axle frames- and that’s where the Robert Axle Project comes in.

Train if you must- but be prepared.

Not unlike their thru-axle adaptors for BOB and similar trailers, the Robert Axle Project’s Thru Axle for Turbo Trainers is… well, it’s no secret what it is.  Made in the US, the price isn’t unreasonable at $59 (£37), though high-ish shipping to the UK would make a forum group buy a good idea- either way, it’s much cheaper than a fatbike.  Time to fire up the DVD player or make a list of those TV shows you’d been meaning to get to…
