We grabbed Olympic Gold medalist, Czech national champion and current UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Champion Jaroslav Kulhavy’s Specialized S Works Epic World Cup for a quick once over straight after the Roc d’Azur marathon.
Although fairly stock the bike has a very nice and custom paint splatter paint job. Have you checked out that saddle angle?
There’s some serious slamming going on with the stem to get a long and low pedalling stance going on. ESI grips are an XC racers favourite for weight saving and comfort.
With a good width of bar and SRAM Guide brakes chosen in favour of lighter XX offerings.
Brain internals are a Specialized speciality.
For Roc the RS1’s have been swapped out for a more conventional SID.
Also different to his Meribel set up, he wasn’t running a Quark XX1 powermeter.
A SWAT MTB XC kit carries all the self sufficiency essentials.
And is that an X01 cassette matched to XX1 everything else?

If that were on eBay some one would star a thread ripping the pee out the bar and saddle position.
Wrong, wrong just all wrong….and yet is it us or him that has it wrong….I’d probably guess he’s a little faster than what I am ahem….

Other than his sperm count results, 5 minutes on that saddle and I’d be as sterile as a mule

Look fast. But he can’t beat Nino Schurter on the downhill and in entertainment of riding.
