We popped into Alpkit to see what’s new for bikepackers…
Alpkit already have a pretty sorted range of luggage for gear hauling in the form of frame bags, top tube fuel pods, and bar harnessed dry bags.
A nice touch is that that if you visit Alpkit HQ you can watch the bags being made.
As well as stock products there’s a custom made option for frame bags. just download the template to start the process.
The Kanga harness for your bars now has an additional Roo option for carrying essentials where they’re easily accessible.
And for quick access to front cargo there’s a double entry dry bag option.
Nearing completion and available soon is this shaped dry bag to fit seatpost mounted harnesses.
If you’re in the market for a stove we’d suggest you hold off until the new stand alone titanium Koro lands. It’s small, light and has a pre heat tube for use in winter. Price? A bargain at £30. We’re guessing a lot of Pocket Rocket owners may just jump ship.
There’s a second stove on the way that’ll please anyone who’s lusted after a Jetboil but been put off by the price. This one is likely to come in at circa £30 too. Don’t worry, we’ve already asked for a cafetiere style plunger.
In other stove news there’s a neat foldable windshield on the way too.
Due to arrive in time for winter is the new ultralight down range the Filoment, available as a gilet,
and matching jacket…
Starting checking the website now, we reckon it’s going to sell out pretty fast.

Do you know if Alpkit will have a seat post mounted harness that will work with the dry bag?
They said a while back that it’ll fit nicely inside the Koala
New stoves look a bargain!
Great work Alpkit, the stoves showing what they do best – sourcing great stuff and distributing with a sustainable, modest margin.
Cheers Daniel, looking at it it would be fairly easy to use it to make something up. BTW Alpkit some custom drybags for everything cages would be rather nice too.
