Finally it’s Friday, a day to sack off work and head for the hills. But first here’s what’s hot on the Singletrack doormat this week…
Trek Remedy 9 29
Trek’s Remedy 9.29. First outing impressions of this shiny sub 30lb 140mm travel big wheeler are that it eats rough terrain for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper but can still be powered up hills like a short travel trail bike. For the next outing I’ll be mostly riding scary big downs.

Park Tools Spork
This one’s got the office divided. Sure it’s cool but it’s heavier than a plastic one. Cool or minimalism it’s a tough call …

Is that a new/improved Kronolog or the same one that seems to be universally regarded as unreliable?
The muesli bar will last longer than the Kronolog…
i NEED that spork
With the amount of fancy and lightweight kit that has arrived for Chipps cross bike over the last few months I expect to see him floating up Simon Fell come race day!
Those Mavic wheels- ‘They’re pretty sweet no?’ Err- No.
Mavic wheels – Logos not lined up. Basics. Throw them out, now.
Look forward to reading of the spectacular failure of the kronolog, and I can already tell you that the Pica is crap, as the chain tool failed the first time I needed to use it, and the Allen keys are too short to reach into the mech hanger bolt.
My Pica can be found somewhere in my local woods, literally coved in blood, sweat and tears. CB always and forever = crap.
Liking the hat.
