Friday follows Thursday, as sure as tick follows tock, and from here we’re a short leap to the weekend.
So let’s get on with it, read on; it’s Fresh Goods Friday!
SRAM XX1 Lapierre Spicy 916
It took a while to prise this from Jon’s fingers but we’ve got a rather lovely Lapierre Spicy 916 with SRAM XX1 groupset. Sim’s been inseparable from it since it arrived and he’s ready to spill the beans on his first impressions (watch out for his report this weekend).
We’re aiming to put as many miles into the drivetrain as possible to see how it copes with the notorious Calderdale peaty grit mix.

Liking the wildcat gear! A bit more sophisticated than lashing a dry bag to the handlebars with bungee cords, hopefully more stable too!
I’d like to correct an error in the above…
Lightsabers go ‘WOM!’ and not ‘VOOOOOOM!’
Singletrack is profoundly sorry for publishing such an error.
Dave has been frozen in Carbonite for the duration of the weekend.
Wildcat gear looks ace…off to look at that now 🙂
I got a wildcat Tiger last month – despite stuffing a compression drybag in there that was almost twice the recommended size it worked a treat – stable in use even on rooty bumpy descents, and easy to remove/repack the drybag even in the dark and rain.
I’ve got a Mountain Lion on my christmas list now (which caused the wife some concern until I explained what it was) to spread the load a bit 🙂
Loving the Charge Cooker, what issue can we read about it in?
The Cooker will be in issue 79, on sale at the end of January.
OK, thanks, will hopefully have one by then.
Any chance of sticking the Cooker on the scales? And, what size is it please?
I’ve got both a tiger and a mountain lion, both brilliant bits of kit.
I’ve never wanted a bike that’s anything like the Cooker before. Now I do. Oh internet, why do you do this to me.
I have just got one of those wildcat tigers for commuting on the roadbike, easy to remove for weekends and no need for a rack. 🙂
That Cooker looks like a whole heap of fun, and for less than the price of a top-end fork. 😀
Quite liking Grace’s Bib-thong….

How much does the Charge Cooker weigh in at?
Got full Wildcat luggage, including a frame bag now. All excellent stuff.
Just to join the Wildcat love in, I have the a custom frame bag and the handlebar harness and it’s great kit and gives you a nice warm felling that it’s made in Wales by some lovely people 🙂
