Midweek Mini Movies

by 10

It’s another short week, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take a bit of time for yourself this lunchtime. Here’s our usual selection of biking related video stuff to keep you entertained while you try not to get crumbs in your keyboard.

To kick off, here’s the action from the first round of the UCI World Cup in South Africa from the Lapierre team. Thrills, spills and mid track monkey avoidance.

The downhill racing at Pietermaritzburg might have hogged the video limelight but the first round of the XC World Cup took place at the same time. Here’s the view from the Specialized camp – the course looks quite tech too…

Hairy faced fashion hobo Ed Oxley from Great Rock headed to the Basque Country to see Doug from Basque MTB for a coaching holiday. Here they are heading through the lush forest and buff looking trails – looks almost like home. Apparently Ed’s lad Nial squealed like a pig every time he crossed a stream but he’s got pop. Since making this video, Nial has brought his DH season to an abrupt end by breaking his arm – on a rope swing of all things. Healing vibes headed your way boss…

Never mind the voiceover, concentrate on the pictures – it’s the new full carbon Whyte 146 being given some stick in testing…

Snapper Geoff Waugh has been dipping his fingers in the world of moving pictures lately. Here’s a nicely shot bit of footage of the Tesco International CiCle Classic road race. Electro-tastic soundtrack too…

As usual Matt has demanded skateboarding be included. Here’s Jerry Hsu laying down some style…

..and here he is laying it down with some vicious slams. Ouch. Paying your dues…
