Good news for Mancunian racers as Hit the North is revived for a bit of winter racing. Break out your cross/mountain/shopper bike and get suffering. The Hit the North team are calling it ‘the resurrection’, which means we’ve got the Stone Roses stuck in our heads now. Anyway, this is the news…
Hit the North returns on February 12th 2011 for the ever-popular ‘Winter Sprinter’ format – basically 2 hours of quality racing on almost the same course as last year (including that horrible grassy climb). Fine catering, top-drawer entertainment, freeparking, guaranteed nice weather – what more could you possibly want?
Open to mountain bikes or cyclocross bikes, straight or wiggly handlebars….
All proceeds will as usual be donated to local charities (if we sell enough tickets to make a profit that is).
The entry fee will be a very reasonable £14. Go to our website for entry, news as and when it happens, details of preview rides and maybe some other stuff – entries will open 22nd November 2010 and will be online only.

Surely that’s as colourful as the north gets in February? We can’t afford to have colour months until at least May.
Officially yay!
Brilliant event 🙂
Any Uncle Joe’s Mint Balls sponsorship this year?
There will hopefully be some mint balls, aye.
Rode the course today. Awesome.
Got to make sure I get to this one before family commitments take over again!
