The evening will feature inspirational speakers from the bike world telling tales about their riding adventures around the world, including endurance rider Paul Errington and adventure photographer and writer Steve Razzetti, who will be talking about his new book, Great Cycle Journeys of the World.

If you fancy some tech talk, then there’s the trio of Adrian Carter from Pace, Ian Weatherill from Hope and Michael Bonney from Orange, who will be discussing “Trend Setters and Designers of the British MTB movement, 1980-2010” as well as hosting a question and answers session.

Three films will also be showing, with themes as diverse as Dominic Gill’s 32,000km tandem journey, Cumbrian resident Peter Lofthouse unicycling down Hellvellyn and the inspiring story of Bobby McMullen, a who has worked against the odds to become a professional athlete and top mountain bike rider, despite being blind.

There will also be lots of bike rides happening while the Festival is on, including the classic Borrowdale Bash and Skiddaw Loop. Demo bikes will be on offer from Pace, Nicolai, Cotic, Kona, Merida, Cube, Trek, Specialized and others too.

Everything from ghyll scrambling to mountain biking, hiking to kayaking will be going on too, so there’s plenty to see while you’re there.
