We’ve just received news from the organisers of the Bontrager Twentyfour12 that the fifth instalment of the popular endurance race has only 50 course slots left with over 1,100 entrants so far. Solo entries are now full, apart from the midnight start Torchbearer 12 hour race.
The race is set to be held at a revamped and singletrack-packed Newnham Park course in Plymouth on the 24th and 25th of July. If you’re unfamiliar with the Twentyfour12 format, it’s a 24 hour race with two 12 hour races running at the same time, one starting at midday and the other at midnight.
The organisers are promising an even bigger pre-race party with live music on the Friday as well as the regular 24 hour DJs playing throughout the race.
Top American soloists Kelly Magelky and Travis Brown will be flying in for the event to keep event host Keith Bontrager company, before competing against 80 other entrants in the 24 hour solo category.
There will also be 24 hour technical support from Weldtite, with free professional mechanics and a fully kitted workshop for entrants to use.
Cotswold Outdoor are sponsoring a category and also providing all entrants with a discount code to receive 10% online or in the local branch as well as goodies on their stand.
Exposure Lights continue to run a free light charging station for all riders and they will also be looking to crown the King and Queen of the Night for the the fastest lap between 2200 and 0500.
For Goodness Shakes return with free samples for all riders and 24 hour free massage in the chillout zone as well TDF final stage coverage on the plasma for people who can’t get enough racing, as well as a few more surprises.
