We’re only just getting to grips with our 2010 test sample Marzocchi 44 and now they’ve made a carbon version. It’s not quite as flash as it looks as it’s just a carbon wrap (so it might even end up heavier than the regular one…) but it does look pretty…
Marzocchi 44. Made with carbonium

But what's this, on an Ibis Mojo HD? It's a proper raw machined prototype. It uses Marzocchi 55 lower legs, but two crowns for a super stiff enduro fork. No name, date, price or any info yet - it's probably a 2012 product...
With 23 years as Editor of Singletrack World Magazine, Chipps is the longest-running mountain bike magazine editor in the world. He started in the bike trade in 1990 and became a full time mountain bike journalist at the start of 1994. Over the last 30 years as a bike writer and photographer, he has seen mountain bike culture flourish, strengthen and diversify and bike technology go from rigid steel frames to fully suspended carbon fibre (and sometimes back to rigid steel as well.)
Seem to be a lot of HDs floating around out there Chipps.
WE WANT THE RAC FORK!!
you’ll need RAC or a cycling equivalent with Marzocchi’s of late. Or are they reviving that spunkworthy thing from probably 10 years ago?
They’re reviving the spunkworthy thing. 2010 stuff is really good in performance & reliability. I’m testing the 55 RC3 Ti 160mm forks.
