The 7 day MTB stage challenge 14th – 21st August 2010

Spring is slowly breaking through and the preparations for this year’s MTB endurance highlight, the Gore Bike Wear TransWales powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport are in full flow.

Course now live:

John has been very busy over the last few weeks finalising the course for the 2010 TransWales. The 2010 course will be an almost completely new affair, heading from Builth Wells all the way to the English border before making its way via the welsh coast back to Builth. With a distance of over 500km and climbing of over 15,000meter this event is the perfect opportunity for the riders to test themselves against the elements as well as to discover the fantastic riding central Wales has to offer.

The 2010 event will have 5 special stages which are run within the linking stages except the traditional night stage (sponsored by EXPOSURE LIGHTS) and the final stage which will take place on the last day back in Builth Wells.

Two of the special stages are even more special in the way that one is a climb and the other one a descent. This should allow the specialists to shine as well as giving more people the chance to win one of the many prizes provided by out title sponsor Gore Bike Wear.

The details of each stage including stage length, amount of climbing and descending, special stages and predicted riding time is now online on the stage pages of the TransWales website: http://www.mtbtransuk.co.uk/wales/stages.php.
