Halfords did it with the Carrera brand too.
On a similar note a local club has been stopped from advertising
a triathlon for fear of legal action because they used the word 'olympic'. It's the effin' distance of the event, why the eff is LOCOG allowed to trademark the word?!Posted 4 months ago # -

Carrera is a really posh road bike brand elsewhere in the world, n'est-ce pas?
Amazed they haven't taken on Subway, Star Trek and Destiny's Child too.
I'd like to market a bike called "50% off twice what it's worth" and see if Apollo stops me using that too.
