BB tool is £35 from CRC, bit cheaper elsewhere on line.....the rest you probably have already
Took mine off the other day, and if I were going to replace the rings, with the tools I'd be looking at the price of a whole XT chainset.
What is it with Shimano XTR.........don't get it really

Me a cheap skate and out of work can i remove my xtr cranks without the TL-FC35 as i installed it without it.
Failing that does anyone have one that i can borrow!?!?!?Posted 1 year ago # -
Have a look at the article I wrote on XTR crank servicing?
http://www.cyclistno1.co.uk/features/maintenance/servicing-xtr-cranks.htm
Only essentials are:
Shimano Mounting Tool (TL-FC35)
8mm Allen Key

You can install with out one but you need one to remove the chainset.

£35 for that tool?! I remember the first time I took my cranks off, couldn't for the life of me work out how, then read the instructions and realised I needed this self extracting tool. Then I looked in my toolbox and it was there.
Perhaps if you look in your toolbox it will have found its way in like me? It comes with the cranks. Oh and you also need the funny spanner thing to remove the cups.

I got mine 1/2 from STW classifieds and the BB HT II tool you can get fairly cheap - i.e. ice tools etc - if you get OEM XTR crankset you will not likely get it!
