This guy has dozens and dozens of these 'comedy' videos on youtube - it's really quite hard to see what he is aiming for in terms of trying to be funny -but he covers up well by being fat, having a really loud voice and doing lots of dancing and groin thrusting.

went to the comedy store in hollywood once - were six people in the "crowd" (4 of us english so we weren't properly in on some of the jokes)
the 2 acts weren't bad but it wasn't a very pleasant experience all round

The thing is with Jim Davidson, you can at least see how his jokes would appeal to cretins - this guy is just baffling, it's very hard to see what he could think was funny about what he's saying.

The fat yank is the sort of guy you want sitting next to you on a long plane/train/coach journey like you want a multiple tooth extraction session at the dentist's. I think I would kill him if I had to sit next to him for more than about 20 mins. I reckon with that video evidence I'd get off with a contributory negligence plea.

It's easy to use the existing moral zeitgeist to laugh at past comedians. For present day stuff, I really really don't like Al Murray's Pub Landlord.

Al Murray is one of my favourite stand-up comedians (I first saw him before he was famous and doing the circuits) Partly because he talks like me.......even though he went to public school and I didn't.

So basically, it's Al Murray, Ricky Gervais, Barry Humphries, Rufus Hound, and a few other comedians who are very successful and make a lot of people laugh, who are absolutely awful and aren't in the least bit funny ?
