Work is finally kicking off on the much-needed overhaul of Bristol’s trails this week. The first bits to get a facelift are going to be the Upper and Lower Quarry Trail over at the far side of Ashton Court:

It should go without saying but please don’t be tempted to ignore the closures. As well as the obvious dangers from the trail work, the newly built trail will need time (and a spot of rain) to help it bed in. If too many people ride it before it’s officially open, it’ll be full of ruts and holes by the time the ribbon gets snipped.

The rest of the trails are open as normal and it’s lovely up there at the moment so go nuts!

Awesome news, shame they’re starting with the best bit first though!

Sorry, what I meant to say was: and so the sanitation of the trails begins. I can’t believe the trails group are undertaking this work without consulting bristol mtbers first… 😉
