Just randomly sat surfing the net – keep getting a fake whoooshing sound through the speakers – no idea what it is!

Only got Chrome and iTunes open – any help appreciated!

Probably an advert hidden in a popup or in a sidebar. Look for an add with a speaker symbol to shut it up!

Funnily enough I had this last week, I turned my speakers off. If you find out what it is let me know. Is it a swoosh then a kind of vibration sound?

i had the same thing while i was on bikemagic the other day, took me ages to realise it was the ad for the royal marines making the noise!

presumably that means i don’t have “what it takes” 😕

Having just turned my speakers back on I can confirm that it is that stupid royal marines ad. How irritating is that.

What you want is the-firefox-extension-of-which-we-do-not-speak which allows you to block ads.

But don’t use it here obviously.

I use firefox but its a flash player ad.

I dont seem to get the whooshing, and I’m seeing all the ads too.
