I'm looking to buy rear lights for the wife and I for our commutes.
I've been looking at the Blackburn, Cateye and Knog ranges in particular but would be interested in recommendations.
The other thought I'd had was the Saxon Caps for our Ay-ups but by the time you factor in the shipping costs etc. (now that the UK outlet is no more) it could end up a more expensive option. That said, I am willing to pay good money for a great product.
What do you guys suggest?

Cateye TL LD1100
Blackburn Mars 3.0/4.0 are good and excellent aftersales service IME (if you need it, which I did twice which might then actually put you off) v.bright LED's and look good.
smart 1/2 watt is unbeatable IMO. ( AAA )
i have a couple of the cateye tld1100 which live on my pack. they're pretty good but they're large, and there have been reports of the buttons coming off, but i haven't had any trouble with mine. ( AA )
we have a mars 3.0. started playing up so i took a look, and found a resistor glued in place upside down, without any solder on one end ( i presume this was a last minute production mod gone wrong ). fixed and it's been OK since. has small cross-head screws holding it together though, so it's a bit of a pain to change batteries ( AAA ).
you'll pay anything from 8 quid to 12 or 13 for the smart ( make sure it is the half-watt one ), but it's small, very bright, and there are a few in our house.
Smart 1/2 watt superflsher is very good and cheap, also the Cateye TLD 610 is another bright robust(well sealed) design
i recently got one of those 1/2 Watt Smart ones too - very impressed and a great price at the moment.
i've got a couple of those fibre flare jobs too. really good on a dark lane.... so my colleagues tell me.
Smart 1/2 watt - you really can't go wrong with one of these on your rear believe me you will get noticed.

Cateye Holy Hand Grenade.
Holy hand grenade is nice but big and cumbersome.
Hmm id say rsp astrum, it's silly blindingly bright, essentially two smart superflashes, also a bargain as my lbs sells it for £15.
I've been using the cateye LD1100 too.
Has side lighting too and quite bright.
I've dropped mine twice and it's still solid after a year.
Mini LED Backup lights from Tesco for £3 help too.
