I'm looking at a Gaggia Titanium ( which is at the upper limit of my budget ). Is there anything else that I should consider instead?

I've had a Titanium for about 4 years.

Excellent machine. So far mine has made 5188 coffees.

Just get a good supply of beans. Hasbean are nice.

Gaggia Paros if you can still get one?

I believe the deLonghi one was a which best rated – a friend has that one.
I've got a Siemens 5400 which makes lovely cups of coffee too!

Not trying to be one of those "I've got this – you must get it too" types, but just to say the 'not gaggia' brands are good too!

We had a Gaggia Syncrony for a few years, always seemed to work fine and made a nice cup of coffee so i'm told (only drink tea)
Sold it to a chap on here little while back and hope its still going strong

Only downside was the expensive Gaggia service at about 100 quid, but apart from that it was all good

As an aside saw one for sale on Retrobike yesterday for approx 170 quid, might be worth a look (not my old one I should mention)

I have the Gaggia Platinum which is ace (picked it up on flea bay half price and brand new!)

Make sure you get one you can use the milk island with – this sounds like an expensive bollocky add on but makes perfect frothed milk.

    (I'd get a Jura if I had the cash…)

thanks all for the advice – I bought the Titanium, and now have slightly more caffeine in my blood than I should.

    🙂
