So i've just built my 6th pair of wheels. In a bid to "always improve" I'm wondering what people would accept as an acceptable amount of wobble on a pair of handbuilt wheels.
Currently ~ 0.5mm lateral wobble on both, about 0.5mm out of round on the front, a bit more on the back (~1mm) as I completely forgot to check it until I'd nearly finished. Spoke tensions /side are all within 5% of each other according to my park tension meter.
Personally I'm reasonably happy - I'm never actually that bothered how round they are, as it strikes me that even tension is more important in keeping them straight long term, but it's always nice to do things better each time.
Cheers!
