I’m thinking about buying a wheel truing stand. Does anyone have one? I’ve got my eye on the Tacx T3175 Exact because it’s relatively cheap but I’m worried that it might be a bit flimsy.

Has anyone pointed you towards Roger’ Wheelpro web site / book?
My very sturdy jig cost £1.50 tp build following Rogers plans.http://www.wheelpro.co.uk/wheelbuilding/book.php

Are you serious? £1.50??? Was it hard to build?

No I’m not Roger, and neitehr is my wife!
Although Roger is a regular on here, rogerM.
I used a scaved sheet of MDF and a few nuts and bolts some scaved alloy sheet to make the drop outs.
I’d say 20 quid would get a very good wheel building book and a jig.
    Cheers

I agree with Speshpaul – I was toying with the idea of buying the Park one then i came across the wheel pro website. A doddle to build and probably more stable than cheaper off the shelf ones

Sweet, recognize the website from using the spoke calculator. Just bought the book…
