I have one of these and I have yet to see a better LCD image.

Go to your local John Lewis or big store and spend at least an hour looking at different images not just from Blue Ray make sure you see a non HD image on the TV’s as well.

You should get a v good LG for that money. We picked up a 32″ a year ago – excellent picture quality and loads of compatibility. Audio is perfectly acceptable for everyday TV use, but we run it through the stereo for anything else.
