whats guisborough black route like?

I was riding Guisborough today mate, the black route is shut for harvesting. Theres loads of bridleways etc coming out the woods though, you can pick up the Cleveland way etc and go for miles. Worth a ride.

Signs say it's shut but it's all rideable.
Black route's OK but probably not worth making a long trip to visit - as with a lot of places, the best bits in Guis aren't marked - someone local to show you round is what you need. I can't help you this weekend cos I'm away in that London, but have a look at http://www.mtbe.co.uk to see if anyone's riding.
As stinker said, there's loads on the moors out of the woods too.

rubbish... well the black route is but as already mentioned there is some good riding to be had if you know where to look
these are local woods for local people
