You buy beer, pay for beer, the restaurant writes “large Coke” instead of “pint of Auld Goatherder’s Nob” on the receipt. Which under the circumstances there is probably for the best.

I ordered ham ,egg and chips in a local gastro pub.
Brought out roast pork,egg and chips. Should have moaned but I was hungry.
Ps it was not a good combination.

Strangely there always seems to be a huge difference betwen the pictures of the food and what arives, regarding size of portion and the actual look.

Unless you’re in Thailand/northern Africa – there, the greasy, manky, toppling burger you see in the photo generally is identical to what turns up…..
