Gaggia cubika has been retired due to excessive leakage, despite new seals etc.

I’ve heard good things about delonghi stuff – whaddya reckon?

I picked up a cheap Delonghi Icona last Christmas and it has been fine. Its noisy and can vary on how much coffee it produces (one cup can have a tiny amount of coffee, another half filled) but it does the job pretty well and cost £99.

The icona makes a good coffee, far better coffee than my old Gaggia. But after 15 months is showing excessive signs of use with flaky paint and bubbling fake chrome and occasional leaks.

Nespresso machines are very good, and I like the coffee they sell/make. Only drawback is you’re limited to their products only, but at £80 for the machine and milk frother it’s very reasonable in my opinion. They run at optimum pressure so you get a very nice crema

DeLonghi Treviso here. Cost 40 notes, does a good job.
